Beach Party codes needed ?
When planning a destination wedding, mostly in an area where you have an incredible beachfront,
it is big temptation to host one of your satellite events on a beach.
Beach Party Time!
But as wild as memorable it looks to be, planning abeach party also requests organization, and questions to be aware of before inviting your preferred people to join.
Here the questions-list my clients often ask.
When do we have to schedule a beach party : prior or after the wedding day ?
- Beach party one day prior the wedding : as a social event. Mind the sun is exhausting and can burn skins people. So make sure you have a day to chill between the beach party and the wedding day
- Beach party one day after the wedding : it’s a perfect farewell brunch style to close your wedding celebration with your guests. Make sure not to start stop to early to help the people to recover from the late-night party they enjoyed.
2. Is it mandatory to have beach party when planning a wedding on a beach area ?
Absolutely not. But better admit it: it’s a shame not to have one when you choose a destination for its seafront, isn’t?
What matters mots is that you have pleasure yourslef first. I know some brides who would hate to walk barefoot in sand in front of their guests, or to sweat under their make-up.
For this type of satellite events around your event : satisfy yourself first. Your guests joy will follow then.
3. What to serve during a beach-party ?
- cocktails and mocktails.
- fruits and veggies are a must have.
- fresh cheese, milky creams.
- grilled fish is best choice.
Make sure your guests will have enough water and ice cubes. Hydratation is key to keep being in good health when travelling // partying.
4. Do I have to book a DJ for my beach-party?
Best to have, yes. Whenever it is the event prior your wedding day celebration or after it, a beach party is better with music .
Choose the style of music you prefer to hear, having in mind the venues, and beaches owners usually have some great DJ to recommend that know the ambiance to provide.
Some couples think of having a live band for a beach party, and rare to mention, I would not recommend it. It is an outdoor chill-out event, where mingling is key. You want your favorite people to chat together, to meet new members of family or friends. I truly think having a ban there can kill the purpose of your beach-party.
If you have your beach-party prior your wedding : focus on interactions between the people.
If you have your beach party after the wedding : focus on a time-framed event where people can join when they’re ready, before they have to leave the area. Focus has to be done on a chill-out ambiance.
In the two cases, the live-band musicians won’t receive the recognition and attention they deserve.
5. Do I have to invite everyone to my wedding beach-party?
Etiquette-wise : hard to unvite people you asked to travel for your wedding-day.
And even if your wedding experience must match who you are, I strongly believe sharing a beach-party with your 100% of your invited-guests is something that you love to live.
6. Does a beach-party have to be at day or at evening ?
Based on my planner experience, 11am-5pm is the best time to host a beach-party when planning a whole destination wedding abroad.
Easy for your guests to join, and also easier for beach owners to agree on a privatisation at this moment of the day.
I confess that sunset could miss. So maybe it’s also something you can have in mind. Keep your bridal party with you to extend the event, and close the day with a picnic on the beach.
Make sure to have your photographer with you: you’ll have the best pictures of your life-time moment.
