3-day destination wedding in Monaco

Above all, to create this guide for a destination wedding in Monaco, I have considered that on the first day, you might want to spend some time with your guests and introduce them to the Principality. Then, on the wedding day, I’ve set some relaxing activities for you to spare some energy for the party. Finally, on the third day (a-k-a hangover day), I have prepared two options for you to say goodbye in grand style. Check out our essential guide to get married in Monaco.

Day 1: Welcome to Monaco!

You must be eager to get together with friends and family and enjoy the moment! On your first day at the Principality, I can arrange activities to make everyone feel welcome and get to know Monaco. And, of course, the day can end with a rehearsal dinner!

What about a welcome drink?

Yay! So you and your guests finally made it to Monaco! The best way to celebrate this moment and give them a warm welcome is by offering a cocktail party. If you are lucky to get married in the summer, a pool party would be a-m-a-z-i-n-g! The Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo would be a charming place to do so – and it is an excellent opportunity to relax after some hours of flight.

At the same time, if you prefer, another great idea is taking your guests on a boat ride through the Mediterranean. I’m sure they will have a blast with the gorgeous view!

Depending on the chosen venue for your wedding in Monaco, you can even have a welcome drink there. Places like Monte Carlo Bay Hotel & Beach, Cap Estel Hotel, Villa Ephrussi, and Ville La Vigie offer different scenarios to do all your festivities.Create those three Signature Cocktails like real barmen do!

Explore Monaco

Your guests are probably dying to get to know the Principality! So you can give them a little taste of “James Bond’s adventures” by taking them to the Casino de Monte Carlo, one of the most iconic buildings in town.

If your guests are really into shopping, you have some options to show them. If they are looking for perfume, jewelry, and other designer and luxury goods, then Avenue de Monte-Carlo is perfect. On the other hand, Boulevard des Moulins and Avenue Princess Grace are a good fit for clothes and accessories.

Moreover, guests who are into art will find some amusement at the Nouveau Musee National de Monaco, with its contemporary art exhibitions.

If you have children among your guests, you’ll also find some options to keep them entertained. First, the Musée Oceanographique will blow them away, with its aquariums where they can watch from sharks to fluorescent corals. The Monaco Naval Museum can also capture their attention with its Roman ships, Viking longboats, and Spanish galleons.

Rehearsal dinner

When it comes to gastronomy, Monaco is paradise. The Principality has 12 restaurants selected by the Michelin Guide. If you are looking for a truly remarkable and luxurious experience, then Le Louis XV – Alain Ducasse, at the Hôtel de Paris, is a fabulous choice for your rehearsal dinner.

If you are looking forward to having a cozy yet luxurious experience during your destination wedding in Monaco, another good option is Cafe de Paris. With its terrace and brasserie ambiance, your guest will be delighted with the view of the Casino de Monte Carlo.

Day 2: The wedding day!

The day has finally come! And I know how excited everyone is to finally celebrate your  destination wedding in Monaco. So, I suggest some laid-back activities for you to relax and enjoy your pre-wedding moment. See the best venues to get married in Monaco.

Breakfast Together

Above all, one of the most significant advantages of having a destination wedding in Monaco is getting the chance to spend more time with family and friends. If you and your guests are staying at the same hotel or villa, you’ll all be able to have breakfast together and enjoy this moment.

For the couple: let’s relax!

Well, if you didn’t enjoy the Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo on your first day, it is an excellent opportunity to do so! Before getting ready for the ceremony, you can both book a massage to help you relax before the wedding.

For the guests: what do before the wedding?

Depending on the schedule of the wedding, your guests will have some time to explore Monaco a little bit more. For the wedding day, I definitely advise taking it slow and saving some energy for later on. So, a good option is sunbathing and enjoying the beach – please, don’t forget your sunscreen! Some hotels have their private beaches – or you can visit Larvotto Beach, a public beach at Avenue Princess Grace. See how to create a beach party for your wedding abroad that rules.

Getting ready

For a destination wedding in Monaco, couples usually choose to get ready at the hotels or villas they are staying at. Some great options are Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, Monte-Carlo Beach, and Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort.

Day 3:  The day after the wedding

The day after the wedding, everyone feels overwhelmed with love and joy – but also a little bit tired. For this day, couples usually have two options:

1. A late brunch with family and friends

If your destination wedding in Monaco went on until late at night and you all partied hard, you’ll probably feel tired the next day – hangover alert! Then, you’ll all probably going to wake up later. So, a brunch for family and friends would be the best fit. It is a good opportunity to feel re-energized, hang out together and talk about the wedding day.

Depending on the schedule (and on people’s energy!), it is also possible to arrange another activity – a boat ride or a casino visit, for example.

2. A free day + farewell dinner

However, if you feel that your guests are in the mood to explore the Principality a little further, we can set it as a free day. This way, each one of your guests will be able to visit the spots they want, and they can make it at their own pace and time. At the end of the day, when everyone is feeling re-energized, we can have a farewell dinner to celebrate this fantastic weekend together.
