One of the things I particularly appreciate about Villa Pizzo is the variety of settings within one property.
The Darsena, gardens, courtyard and interiors each have a different character, which means the wedding day does not have to rely on a single reception space.
The direct relationship with the lake is another strong point. Guests can arrive by boat, take photographs by the water or simply enjoy the setting between different parts of the day.
And because I have planned weddings at Villa Pizzo, I know the property from a practical point of view as well as from the perspective of a guest. That makes a difference when it comes to planning timings, suppliers and the transition between spaces.
I have planned two weddings at Villa Pizzo, before the venue introduced its current marquee setup, for 160 and 175 guests. One was for a Lebanese couple and the other for a couple from the UK.
Although Villa Pizzo is rented for the wedding day itself, both celebrations extended over several days, with events and experiences around Lake Como. This gave me first-hand insight into planning larger destination weddings at the villa and coordinating the wedding day as part of a wider celebration.
