Organizing a wedding at Château de Fonscolombe means offering your guests an immersion in the French art of hospitality. The estate was designed in the 18th century specifically for hosting balls and receptions. It’s not an adaptation: it’s in its DNA. The classified historic salons, the estate chapel, the terraces that blend into the gardens: everything here is designed for celebrations to take their natural place.
What do I particularly love? The concept of a wedding as a summer interlude, in a setting that never tries too hard. Just imagine: welcoming guests in the gardens with cocktails featuring herbs from the kitchen garden. The next day, poolside brunch, barefoot and sunglasses. It’s this type of contrast – between assured elegance and total relaxation – that makes the experience so powerful.
And because these are bespoke weddings, the Château’s team is particularly attentive. Here, they don’t impose a scenario on you. They start with you, your rhythm, your desires. Would you prefer dining in the shade of plane trees or organizing a ceremony in the chapel with its colorful frescoes? Everything is possible, without rigidity. My role is to channel this freedom to create a harmonious common thread.
One of the great advantages of a wedding at Château de Fonscolombe is its ability to centralize everything. The estate features 50 rooms and suites, accommodating up to 110 people on-site. This means fewer shuttles, less logistical stress, and a private village atmosphere where everyone finds their place.

No need to multiply locations: you can plan a welcome party in the gardens, a ceremony in the chapel, dinner under the cypress trees, and dancing in the salons, all without ever leaving the estate grounds. Guests move from one space to another with that rare feeling of being ‘at home’ – even when home spans several thousand square meters.
And beyond the wedding highlights, the estate offers a multitude of activities to enjoy between festivities. Around Château de Fonscolombe, Provence reveals itself in all its diversity. You’re just steps away from Aix-en-Provence, a city of water and art, with its museums, markets, and vibrant streets. It’s the perfect opportunity to plan an excursion for your guests before or after the wedding.
The estate is also surrounded by vineyards and typical villages. We can easily arrange private wine tastings, guided walks, or intimate dinners in a neighboring bastide. I like to suggest a mini ‘prologue’ or ‘epilogue’ to the wedding for those who want to extend the experience, without necessarily making it an official event.
Finally, for nature enthusiasts, the Château’s park already offers hours of walking possibilities. But if you feel like exploring further, the landscapes of the Luberon and Sainte-Victoire are just a short drive away. I can certainly recommend the most scenic routes.
