Just a few kilometers from Aix-en-Provence, this exclusive estate combines the refinement of an 18th-century château with the elegance of Provençal living. It’s a place designed for hosting, celebrating, and savoring. As a wedding planner, I guide my couples through this space as if it were a family home – five-star version – where every detail has been conceived to create a suspended moment in time.

Organizing a wedding at Château de Fonscolombe means offering your guests an immersion in the French art of hospitality. The estate was designed in the 18th century specifically for hosting balls and receptions. It’s not an adaptation: it’s in its DNA. The classified historic salons, the estate chapel, the terraces that blend into the gardens: everything here is designed for celebrations to take their natural place.
What do I particularly love? The concept of a wedding as a summer interlude, in a setting that never tries too hard. Just imagine: welcoming guests in the gardens with cocktails featuring herbs from the kitchen garden. The next day, poolside brunch, barefoot and sunglasses. It’s this type of contrast – between assured elegance and total relaxation – that makes the experience so powerful.
And because these are bespoke weddings, the Château’s team is particularly attentive. Here, they don’t impose a scenario on you. They start with you, your rhythm, your desires. Would you prefer dining in the shade of plane trees or organizing a ceremony in the chapel with its colorful frescoes? Everything is possible, without rigidity. My role is to channel this freedom to create a harmonious common thread.
One of the great advantages of a wedding at Château de Fonscolombe is its ability to centralize everything. The estate features 50 rooms and suites, accommodating up to 110 people on-site. This means fewer shuttles, less logistical stress, and a private village atmosphere where everyone finds their place.
It’s also a real comfort for the couple. No need to multiply locations: you can plan a welcome party in the gardens, a ceremony in the chapel, dinner under the cypress trees, and dancing in the salons, all without ever leaving the estate grounds. Guests move from one space to another with that rare feeling of being ‘at home’ – even when home spans several thousand square meters.
And beyond the wedding highlights, the estate offers a multitude of activities to enjoy between festivities. Heated swimming pool, walking paths through the classified park, estate wine tastings, and even a fitness room: everything is designed for your guests to fully enjoy their stay. A truly exceptional weekend, blending relaxation, elegance, and the Provençal art of living.
Château de Fonscolombe is situated in the heart of Provence, 20 minutes from central Aix-en-Provence.
Marseille Provence International Airport is approximately 40 minutes by car from the estate.
A subtle alliance between heritage, discreet elegance, and authentic Provençal atmosphere.
Accommodates up to 110 people for overnight stays, and up to 120 guests for on-site receptions – or up to 200 with an external caterer.
Château de Fonscolombe’s privatization rate starts from €32,000 per night. This price includes exclusive use of the estate, all 50 rooms and suites, and breakfasts. For my clients, this represents excellent value considering the quality of hospitality, exceptional setting, and logistical convenience.
Weddings at Château de Fonscolombe allow for true personalization. You can choose to work with the estate’s Michelin-starred Chef or bring in an external caterer according to your culinary vision. My role is to orchestrate all these choices to offer you a seamless experience, where the budget is used intelligently based on your priorities: gastronomy, music, floral decoration, lighting ambiance… nothing is imposed, everything is adjustable.
My full-service planning offers comprehensive expertise – from first inspiration to final farewell – through a unique and transparent flat fee.
Starting at €17,800 for a one-day wedding (80 to 120 guests). Perfect for:
Around Château de Fonscolombe, Provence reveals itself in all its diversity. You’re just steps away from Aix-en-Provence, a city of water and art, with its museums, markets, and vibrant streets. It’s the perfect opportunity to plan an excursion for your guests before or after the wedding.
The estate is also surrounded by vineyards and typical villages. We can easily arrange private wine tastings, guided walks, or intimate dinners in a neighboring bastide. I like to suggest a mini ‘prologue’ or ‘epilogue’ to the wedding for those who want to extend the experience, without necessarily making it an official event.
Finally, for nature enthusiasts, the Château’s park already offers hours of walking possibilities. But if you feel like exploring further, the landscapes of the Luberon and Sainte-Victoire are just a short drive away. I can certainly recommend the most scenic routes.
A friendly match on the morning of the wedding or a small tournament with close ones the day before? Head to the Tennis Club of Puy-Sainte-Réparade, just 5 minutes from the estate.
The day after the wedding, extend the festivities with a refined brunch under the grand cypress tree, followed by a dip in the pool.
The Château offers a wellness space where personalized massages, yoga, and fitness perfectly integrate into your program.
With over 180 plant species, the Château’s park is a wonder for nature and botany enthusiasts.
