Harpers Bazaar Chateau Wedding of Alexandria & Nicholas
When Alexandria first contacted me, I was in NYC for some work with clients.
She wrote me an email, mentioning I might be the one who would be able to make her vision alive, as she had been disappointed by some of my peers.
We agreed on a meeting at Mama Coffee Shop in Tribeca. Alexandria was with her Dad. And I immediately understood I would fall in love with her.
And this is what happened. Alexandria was so detailed oriented, I knew that everything we will be able to create from scratch will be unique and over stunning.
This Couple Didn’t Believe in Love at First Sight–Until It Happened to Them!
Alexandria and Nicholas had been introduced by mutual friend. I remember perfectly when I asked Alexandria about their story. We were on our way to a stationery meeting in NYC, after the lunch we had at The Roxy Hotel Restaurant, in Tribeca still.
She told me she was not keen on big love at first sight, but when she met Nick, then she knew he was special to her. A little bit older than her (so little, very!) Alexandria thought Nick would not envisage a serious relationship with her.
This is what a love story is: He was the man of her life. And he felt the same in return.
When love is that obvious, you can even speak about #couplegoals.
The getting-ready #bridesquad
It was clear from the very beginning: The bride squad would have the entire 1st floor of the Chateau d’Estoublon for their personal use. Champagne, laughs, jewels and complicity were on program.
Time to Say I do in style!
Now all Ladies are ready. Time then for Alexandria to join the ceremony area, in the olive groves, where the man of her life is waiting for her, surrounded by their beloved guests.
Celebrating love!
Our first biggest challenge clearly defined by Alexandria?
Creating a wedding ceremony scenery worthy of a natural decor.
Morgane at Big Day, a very creative partner, we’ve seen these 20 meters of low bushes with wild along the aisle, open both sides literally rising from the ground. Like everything was already naturally there.
Then on top of the altar, an incredible roses furnished Arch, 2.50meters high, slightly unstructured to still create the most organic feeling.
The Ceremony, led by Kasia Wright, was also in music with string quartet from The Botticelli’s. See all vendors list at the end of the post.
It's Dinner time!
With the Star Chef Xavier Mathieu, the couple wanted a Menu Degustation with a very exclusive wine pairing of their favorites French wine.
- Mise en bouche : Stewed or roasted Zucchini with seasonal vegetables and edible flowers.
- Appetizer: Lobster tail with citrus butter (light) with spinach
- Entrées: Filet of lamb on provencal herbs crust, green saulce (juice of savory) + some mini stewed tomatoes and pearl oignons.
- Cheese selection
- Pre-dessert: Melon in sorbet, lavender sour/vinegar, meringue, fresh peaches, pollen, honey
- Dessert: Wedding Cake + 1 macaron olive oil + lemon | 1 macaron lavender + A mini aquavie bottle to serve on the same time.
We worked on a very detailed mise en table, with exclusive products selected at Maison Options, enhanced by all rentals picked at Be-Lounge.
Work had been then enlighten by talent of our floral partner Big Day Studio Design.
Fly me to the moon!
You know this romantic moment, that belongs to the couple only.. the first dance!
Once the wedding cake had been tiered by the couple, then the Liveband Spyglass started to play “Something” from the Beatles.
Then, the party steered by DJ Benjamin from Discotecnik ended at 6am. We helped the guests to last longer with a yummy crepes stand. Welcome to French Parties!
